Dear LVHS Community Supporter:
We are pleased to announce the 2nd Rally in the Valley 5K Race and Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 9th, 7:30-12PM, 2015 held at Franklin Park in Purcellville, VA. The event is sponsored by the Loudoun Valley PTO in partnership with the Loudoun Valley Athletic Association and the LOCO Disc Golf Club.
We are currently seeking sponsors for this fun family event. Proceeds will support enrichment and athletic programs for the students at Loudoun Valley High School. In the past, student programs funded included STEM robotics and cyber security projects, state-recognized business marketing competitions, advanced biology field trips, anti-bullying outreach assemblies, drama recognition programs, international education programs, baseball/softball custom backstops and windscreens, tennis court custom windscreens and annual scholarships to student athletes.
This race will offer multiple options for participants – including a 5K race, disc golf, kid’s fun run and loads of family activities! We anticipate well over 150 runners and their families! This race has its very own website http://valleyrally.wix.com/rally-in-the-valley to help promote the event and its sponsors. We’ll also spread the word through area middle and elementary schools, local businesses and running clubs.
The description of sponsorship levels for Rally in the Valley event is located on the second page of this document. Levels range from a Gold to Bronze levels, Business and Family Sponsorship as well as Kid’s Fun Run and Disc Golf Sponsor opportunities. Each level comes with a list of benefits. As an option, you can also print, complete and mail the sponsorship commitment form located on the last page of this document to LVHS PTO, P.O. Box 2007, Purcellville, VA 20132.
Please note that all sponsorship commitments and company logo artwork for t-shirt and sign advertising production purposes must be received by COB Thursday, April 16th.
You can also help us by spreading the word about the race, walk and fun-run. Pre-registration is available via https://events.regtix.com/loudounvalley.htm. Registration will also be open the morning of the race between 7:30 and 8:15am on site. The races will begin at 9am and the walkers will head out following the runners. The kid’s fun run will begin once all runners/walkers have returned. Pre-registration is $20 for the 5K run\walk. The children’s fun-run is free for 12 and under. For those interested in participating in the Disc Golf Tournament immediately following the race activities, registration is $20 for those 12 and older. Those under 12 may play in the tournament but are required to be accompanied by an adult (18 and older). A free mini disc golf area will be available to young kids
